Kementerian Pertanian mencatat, stok beras mencapai 6,8 juta ton hingga pekan kedua Maret 2021. Persebaran stok beras terbanyak berasal dari rumah tangga, yakni 3,7 juta ton atau 54,56% dari totalnya.
Stok terbanyak selanjutnya terdapat di penggilingan sebesar 1,3 juta ton, Bulog 870,6 ribu ton, pedagang 617,6 ribu ton, serta hotel, restoran, dan kafe (horeka) 617,6 ribu ton.
Sebanyak 33,7 ribu ton stok beras ada di Pasar Induk Beras Cipinang (PIBC). Sedangkan, 6,3 ribu ton stok beras terdapat di lumbung pangan masyarakat (LPM).

Adapun, ketersediaan beras nasional periode Januari-Mei 2021 diperkirakan mencapai 24,9 juta ton. Rinciannya, 7,4 juta berasal dari stok akhir Desember 2020 dan produksi dalam negeri sebanyak 17,5 juta ton.
